Getting there & the terminal
In Alcúdia, ferries depart from the Muelle Comercial at the north end of the port, in Port d'Alcúdia. If you're driving in, follow the signage for your booked operator. In peak season, allow for extra traffic around the resort.
In Ciutadella, the route arrives at the ferry port outside the historic centre. In both directions, the berth on your ticket is what matters for check-in and access.
Check-in
With Baleària, you need to be at the port at least 90 minutes before departure with a vehicle, or 60 minutes on foot. Menorca Lines or Corsica Ferries may have different deadlines. Check the operator on the specific timetable entry, then confirm with your booking confirmation.
Keep photo ID and your boarding pass to hand. Vehicle type, length and height must match your booking.
On board
The fast ferry is built around the short crossing: seating areas, a café, and depending on the ship an outdoor deck or digital entertainment. Conventional ferries take longer and may offer something different on board. A cabin usually isn't needed for the fast day sailing - only check for one if your specific departure offers it.

Vehicles, bikes & pets
Cars, motorbikes and bicycles can be booked on sailings marked accordingly. Measure vehicles including roof boxes and racks. The car deck stays closed during the crossing, even though the trip is short. The full checklist is in our car guide.
For pets, the space available depends on the ship. With Baleària, options can include pet-friendly seating, pet cabins or Casitas de la Calma, depending on the ferry. Book the option together with your ticket.
Arrival & onward travel
Ciutadella is on Menorca's west coast. Arrange car hire, a bus or a pick-up around your actual arrival time. For the return leg, don't confuse this departure port with Maó/Mahón: this page and the booking widget cover Ciutadella-Alcúdia only.
Tickets & fares
Compare crossing time, vehicle availability and seating category for the same sailing. A faster ship and a flexible fare can be priced differently from a conventional crossing. Cancellation and rebooking depend on the fare condition you choose; the live price only becomes reliable once you enter your full travel details.
