About us

mallorcaferries.com is an independent information and comparison site for ferry connections to Mallorca. It covers routes from the Spanish mainland (Barcelona, Valencia, Dénia), seasonal routes from France (Toulon, Sète), and routes between Mallorca and the other Balearic Islands. The routes are operated by several shipping companies, including Baleària, Trasmediterránea, Grandi Navi Veloci (GNV) and Corsica Ferries.

On time alone the plane beats the ship to Mallorca, so the ferry has to earn its place another way. It earns it when something travels with you that no cabin bag holds: a car for the mountain roads, a motorhome, a dog. And it earns it when Mallorca is not the whole trip, because the same operators link the island with Ibiza and Menorca. After that the field narrows quickly. Dénia and the fast ferry to Alcúdia are daytime crossings you can build a day around, Barcelona and Valencia to Palma mostly sail overnight and save a hotel night, and Toulon and Sète begin the sea passage in France. Then comes the arrival port, since Palma lies in the south and Alcúdia in the north, which often decides more about your first day ashore than the hours at sea did. We are not a Mallorca travel guide and not a hotel or general travel portal; we deliberately leave out sightseeing, hotel bookings, flights and rental cars.
